The Corolla T Sport has notoriously notchy gearshift and due to its high reving nature, it tends to trash the gearbox oil pretty quickly. Although the toyota service interval for the gearbox oil is "at the owner's request" I suggest changing it every 24,000miles or 2 years - whichever comes first. Every time I have changed it, it has come out black and full of carbon deposits so its well worth doing. If you get clunks at low revs or chattering idler bearings, this is well worth doing.
First things first, you will need:
1. Trolley Jack, it can be done without this, its basically a question whether you can get your drain pan under thecar.
2. Oil Drain Pan (cake tray, caserole dish) sufficient to take 2.3l of liquid
3. 24mm Socket or Spanner
4. 10mm Allen Key or Socket
5. Funnel and tubing about 12mm Outer Diameter
6. 2.3l of 75w90 GL4 or GL5 gearbox oil. I suggest Motul Technosythese, Castrol TAF-X, Mobilube. Basically avoid the cheap and nasty stuff.
7. New sealing washers (you can reuse the old ones if you wish but for £1.25 i would buy new)
1. First things first, jack the passenger side (Right Hand Drive) of the car up. You can use the wheel jack if you wish.

2. Find the drain plug on the gearbox, if its clean it will say "Read owners manual before filling" on the bolt.

3. Crack the nut, it will be tight

4. Once the nut is cracked, position your drain pan to catch the oil and then slowly undo the plug and drain the oil

5. The filler plug can be undone from the top of the engine bay, it requires a 10mm allen key or socket, i'm using a socket. Mine was real stiff so I gave it a good dose of penetrating fluid and left it for about 5 minutes before undoing it

6. Here's a picture of the filler plug and the drain plug

7. Here's a picture of the sealing washers, they are metal gaskets so require quite a lot of compression to fix

8. here's the spec of oil thats required and the new oil to go in

9. Replace the sealing washers with new ones

10. Install the drain plug and torque up to 42Nm

11. You now need some tube that is slightly smaller than the filler plug. Put the tube into the filler hole

12. Using a funnel fill with 2.3l of oil. You will know if you have over filled it as oil will start to come out of the filler hole!

13. take the tubing out, replace the sealing washer on the filler plug and then torque up to 42Nm

Thats it, if anyone has any comments please let me know.
